The Tri-State Area’s Top Solar Installers
The Veterans Affairs Clinic in Vineland, New Jersey, has taken a significant step towards sustainability by embracing renewable energy through a solar installation project. This initiative, a collaborative effort between TerraSol Energies and Vineland Construction Company, aimed to reduce utility costs and minimize the facility’s carbon footprint.
Solar Panel Installation: A total of 327 solar panels were strategically placed on the facility. The installation involved a two-pronged approach: solar panels were mounted on the distinctive barrel-roofed building using a feet and rail mounting system, while the new building incorporated a more traditional ballasted flat roof solar installation.
Size and Output: The solar system boasts a total size of 121.6 kWDC, capable of producing an impressive 152,000 kWh of electricity per year.
Environmental Impact: By harnessing the power of the sun, this project contributes significantly to reducing CO2 emissions annually. The exact amount of emissions saved is a testament to the clinic’s commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility.
Renovation and Expansion: The Vineland Veterans Affairs Clinic’s transformation is a remarkable case study of planning and executing a solar installation as an integral part of a major renovation and expansion project. This approach not only streamlined the project timeline but also led to substantial cost savings.
Pioneering Collaboration: This project marked the first partnership between TerraSol and Vineland Construction Company, a prominent real estate developer and owner in New Jersey. The successful collaboration exemplifies the potential for future endeavors in sustainable construction and energy solutions.
The Vineland Veterans Affairs Clinic’s commitment to utilizing renewable energy not only aligns with their mission of supporting veterans but also sets an example for the community. This project showcases the positive impact that clean energy initiatives can have on both cost savings and the environment, making it a source of pride for all involved.
